Prior to joining the Virginia Institute, she worked as a cast member for The Walt Disney Company, honing her interpersonal and customer service abilities in a high-energy environment. Her time spent serving the people of Hawaii through community outreach instilled in her a deep sense of cultural awareness and a desire to give back. Additionally, Katelyn’s three years of experience in a machine shop, providing administrative and organizational support, sharpened her attention to detail and enhanced her ability to manage complex projects efficiently.

Outside of her professional and academic commitments, Katelyn leads a vibrant student life. She serves as president of Southern Virginia University’s swing dancing club, where she shares her love of dance and fosters a sense of community among students.
